Want You Back

This drawing is inspired by the song 'Want you Back' by 5 Seconds of Summer. It's a song filled with deep longing for a person to come back. What I find most striking in the song is the attention to detail in its visual imagery, especially in these lines -

"I remember the freckles on your back
And the way that I used to make you laugh"

"I remember the roses on your shirt
When you told me this would never work"

These lines have morphed its way into my drawing where I leave a little ambiguity... Is she turning towards you? Or is she turning away from you? She stands at a brink between reality and hope, reality making her turn away, but hope making her turn back.
