The Queen, the Significant "One'" of the King

This drawing is a fine line between a realism and abstraction and what I see in this woman's face is power, beauty, independence and integrity. She may choose to wear beautiful jewellery and a shade of lipstick on her lips, but she still holds the crown on her forehead. A woman is both beautiful to behold and esteemed to behold and in her grasp lies her freedom, her choice and her rights. No one can take that away from her.

A catchy pickup phrase may be 'Will you be the Queen to my King?' where the Queen is sidelined as the 'other' in hi(s)tory. Yet, one scarcely realises how a household could fall apart with the absence of a woman in the house. We often place man as the head of the family for his physical strength. However, we must recognise the emotional strength and balance of the woman. It would irresponsible to say that a woman should replace him. What a house needs is balance. For this balance to be maintained, there should not be one but two heads of the family to equalise physical and emotional strength and bring prosperity to a family. Two heads together to call the shots. Two heads together to make decisions and pave paths. Two heads to hold a family together.
